NAVEL			Cleanse piercing 2x's a day with OPTI-SCRUB ANTI-MICROBIAL SOAP.   Use a small dime size amount.  Lather OPTI-SCRUB ANTI-MICROBIAL SOAP onto the piercing for 30 seconds.  Move the jewelry up and down.   Rotate jewelry through the piercing.  Make sure to remove crusties.  RINSE well with water.  Soak piercing 2-3 x's a day with sea salt water for 5 minutes-rinse well with water to remove salt residue.  Healing Time:  1st phase up to 6 weeks depending on your body's own healing process-up to 1 year to be permanently healed.
TONGUE			Rinse with AN ALCOHOL FREE MOUTH RINSE (such as Biotene)  once in the morning and once at night.  Rinse with 1/2 a cap full after brushing your teeth.  Rinse with Sea Salt Water after every meal, every drink, after smoking or putting anything in your mouth except water.  Sea Salt water naturally heals your piercing. Swelling is a natural occurance for the first week.  Anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprophen have been known to help reduce swelling. (we are not physcians and do not recommend medications) Healing Time:  1st phase up to 6 weeks depending on your body's own healing process-up to 1 year to be permanently healed
LABRET/MONROE/LIP			Rinse inside of mouth with sea salt water anytime you finish a meal, drink anything except water and after smoking.  It is also recommended that you rinse with  an alcohol free mouth rinse.  Lather a pea size drop of OPTI-SCRUB ANTI-MICROBIAL SOAP on the outside of the piercing for 30 seconds minimal.  Cleanse around the piercing moving the jewelry back and forth to remove all crusties from skin and jewelry.  Rinse well with water to remove all soap residue or salt residue.  Use sea salt water in the mouth.  Sea salt water can also be used to cleanse the outside of the piercing.   Healing Time:  1st phase up to 6 weeks depending on your body's own healing process-up to 1 year to be permanently healed
NOSTRIL			Cleanse the outside of the nostril by pushing up the jewelry from the inside of the nostril and lathering satin around the piercing.  OPTI-SCRUB ANTI-MICROBIAL SOAP can be used on the inside however, it cannot be left unrinsed or it can cause a chemical burn so it is best to use a sea salt soak on the inside to help heal and cleanse the inside of the nostril.  If possible, flip nostril up and let running water from faucet irrigate the piercing.  This is hard to do sometimes but it really cleanses it well inside and out and gets off the crusties.  If ball on top of piercing starts to sink into the outer skin-come see us right away for a larger replacement.  Swelling should be minimal.  Don't remove the jewelry for at least 6 weeks. Healing Time:  1st phase up to 6 weeks depending on your body's own healing process-up to 1 year to be permanently healed.
EYEBROW			At Finder's Keepers we start all eyebrow piercings out in a 14 gauge captive bead ring (hoop).  We do this because this soft tissue once pierced tends to swell up a little (very unnoticeable) and curved barbells with balls tend to leave scarring during the healing process.  Captive Bead rings take the pressure and weight off the piercing and can be cleaned by rotating the jewelry.  Use a pea size drop of OPTI-SCRUB ANTI-MICROBIAL SOAP on your clean finger and lather the soap around the piercing for a minimal of 30 seconds.  Rotate the jewelry to remove crusties.  Rinse well with water to remove all soap debri.  Use a sea salt soak on a cotton swab for 5 minutes, 2 x's a day to help naturally heal your piercing-be sure to rinse with water after to remove dry salt debri.  Be careful not to snag-healing takes 6 weeks for 1st phase depending on your body's own healing process and up to 1 year to be healed completely.
EARS			Cleanse ear piercings 2x's a day with Satin.  Use a small dime size amount.  Lather OPTI-SCRUB ANTI-MICROBIAL SOAP onto the piercing for 30 seconds.  Move the jewelry up and down.   Rotate jewelry through the piercing.  Make sure to remove crusties.  RINSE well with water.  Soak piercing 2-3 x's a day with sea salt water for 5 minutes-rinse well with water to remove salt residue.   Remove O rings or backings to earrings if neccessary to remove crusties and soak well to clean before putting them back on.  Use a q-tip if needed to clean around piercings.  Be careful not to get Satin in the ear canal-it can leave a chemical burn if not rinsed.  Healing Time:  1st phase up to 6 weeks depending on your body's own healing process-up to 1 year to be permanently healed.
SEPTUM			Septum piercings are simple to heal if you do not change the jewelry out for 6 weeks.  This can be a very tender piercing during healing time.   Use a cotton ball with sea salt water and soak the piercing 2-3 x's day for the first few weeks to help naturally heal your new septum piercing.   Healing time:  1st phase up to 6 weeks-up to 1 year to be permenantly healed.
BELOW THE BELT FEMALE			Cleanse piercing 2x's a day with OPTI-SCRUB ANTI-MICROBIAL SOAP  .  Use a small dime size amount.  LatherOPTI-SCRUB ANTI-MICROBIAL SOAP   onto the piercing for 30 seconds.  Move the jewelry up and down.   Rotate jewelry through the piercing.  Make sure to remove crusties.  RINSE well with water.  Soak piercing 2-3 x's a day with sea salt water for 5 minutes-rinse well with water to remove salt residue.  Do not wear tight clothes that may irritate the piercing.  Cleanse piercing immediately with OPTI-SCRUB ANTI-MICROBIAL SOAP  after any type of sexual activity.   Do not pull on jewelry or put pressure or play with jewelry or change out jewelry until after the 1st phase of healing has occurred-the outside and inside have healed a protective tissue around the jewelry.  It takes up to 1 year to be permenantely healed-use common sense and good hygeinge to have a successful piercing.

GENERAL CARE FOR ALL PIERCINGS			A good aftercare regiment from day one of your new piercing is the key to a successful piercing with little to no problems.  Always use a sea salt soak or warm water to soak off crusties before moving jewelry to avoid ripping newly developed tissue inside the piercing.  Always rinse any aftercare product well to avoid chemical burns.  Avoid make up and foreign substances to piercings to avoid infections.  Never touch a piercing with dirty hands or fingers.  Never over chemicalize any piercing-your body is it's own best healer.  Do not use alcohol or peroxide-they kill germs well but also newly developed cells dry out and it slows down the healing process.  If you have any type of problem developing, seek an in person consult with your professional piercer immediately-try to solve the problem before it gets out of control.

OPTI-SCRUB ANTI-MICROBIAL SOAP is a topical, antimicrobial skin cleanser with a broad spectrum anti-microbial and conditioners prevent dryness, scaling and irritation. Eliminates bacteria with 15 second contact.  We recommend Opti-scrub anti-microbial soap as the primary aftercare for piercings.  Typical store  bought anti-bacterial soaps are not as strong to eliminate bacteria and often dry out the piercing.	ALCOHOL FREE MOUTH RINSE/antimicrobial oral rinse.
